The success story of the Braun Büffel brand is the joint achievement of four generations of the Braun family: In 1887, master saddler and upholsterer Johann Braun opened the small craft business in Kirn, Rhineland-Palatinate, which gradually grew into an internationally renowned company. His son, Alois Braun, paved the way for this when he entered the production of small leather goods in 1927. Under the leadership of grandson Karl-Heinz, the brand found its name and henceforth signed its products with the distinctive buffalo, a symbol of strength and a deep connection to high-quality leather. Great-granddaughter Christiane Brunk now holds the reins in the fourth generation.
