ergobag School Bags for Girls and Boys - Ergonomic, Individual, Sustainable
The school bag revolution began in 2010 with the founding of the ergobag brand. The ergonomic school bags, or ergobags for short, from Cologne were the first to combine the ergonomic concept proven in mountain sports with all the functions a school bag should ideally offer. Thanks to the individually adjustable back system, ergobag school bags adapt to every stature and relieve pressure on the spine, while the lap belt with comfortable hip fins distributes the load from the shoulders to the stable pelvis. From a height of 1 meter to 1.50 meters, the ergobag grows effortlessly with the child.
The ergobag brand is not only a pioneer but also a sustainability champion: From the very beginning, the company has placed great emphasis on resource-efficient production and specialized in recycled materials. Today, up to 36 PET bottles find a new function in an ergobag school bag set. This commitment was already recognized with the German Sustainability Award in 2016. Starting with the current collection, all school bags feature a completely PFC-free coating. With the ECO Hero Edition, the Cologne-based company is also presenting its first climate-neutrally produced bag, a certified bluesign® product that also bears the Green Button.
ergobag cubo or pack
ergobag school bags are designed to accompany boys and girls throughout their primary school years and always arrive in a set with the appropriate accessories – always including a gym bag or backpack, a filled pencil case with a pencil roll, and a 5-piece Klettie set. And how do the models differ? The pack is a flexible school backpack whose volume can be compressed using a drawstring – bringing the weight closer to the body and reducing the leverage on the child's back. The pack prevents dog-eared school notebooks with a removable notebook compartment. Thanks to the clever "Your Size System," it is infinitely height-adjustable. Just like the cubo, a sturdy satchel with a rigid design and a two-part main compartment for a good overview. At the same weight of 1.1 kilograms, it offers slightly less space than the pack, 19 liters instead of 20 liters. The cubo light is similar in design and size to the cubo. However, its "hugging carrying system" is not height-adjustable – and this saves weight: At just 780 grams, it is particularly suitable for slim kids. The wide, on the other hand, offers extra storage space, with 21 liters of volume, which can be expanded by another 2.5 liters using a circumferential zipper. The wide is height-adjustable and just as sturdy as the cubo, only its lid opens in the opposite direction, toward the front. ergobag School Bag Accessories - Kletties and Side Pockets - Added Individuality and Safety
With the interchangeable Velcro stickers, every ergobag school bag can be customized and easily accommodates changing interests and hobbies. The bright zip sets, with or without integrated side pockets, also offer customization options. They can be attached in a snap thanks to the zipper – for increased safety and visibility on the way to school, especially in traffic. The bags themselves are also generously equipped with reflectors. With their additional wide surfaces made of fluorescent material and an unmistakable neon look, the NEO Edition bags take this to the next level. Stiftung Warentest named them the test winner in the March 2019 school bag test: With an overall score of 1.7, the NEO satchels performed best in the test of 22 school bags.
