The Bridge Bags and Accessories - Exclusive Handcrafted Italian Leather
It all began in 1969 with the company Ponte Pelletteria S.p.A. in Scandicci, a small suburb of Florence. In a Florentine workshop, five artisans set about producing bags, wallets, and accessories from the finest Italian full-grain leather. The first collection, called The Bridge, soon hit the market and quickly sold out. This may be due in part to the classic and timeless elegance of the leather bags, but also to the quality of the natural material and its unique craftsmanship.
Selected leather, tanned exclusively using artisanal techniques, is dyed by hand, polished with amber rollers, and cut by hand. The pieces, for which only the best leather parts are used, are then assembled, smoothed, dyed again, and brushed. The methods used to this day date back to the five founding fathers of the quality brand. Using complex techniques that are continually refined while respecting and maintaining the tradition of craftsmanship, unique premium bags are created from soft, vibrant leather with a subtle sheen – the unique look of The Bridge.
In 1975, The Bridge finally emerged as an independent brand and has since delighted women and men all over the world with first-class leather bags and accessories that fulfill all the expectations of a handcrafted product from Tuscany. Leather goods from The Bridge are not simply timeless in design – quality of this quality is always modern. Thus, the carefully crafted handbags, shoulder bags, and wallets will last a lifetime and only gain in beauty and individuality with use.
