What Else to Consider for a City Trip
Travel & Luggage
Depending on the type and duration of your trip (by bus, train, car, or plane) and the luggage weight restrictions, you’ll need either a travel bag or a trolley. A backpack is the most practical option for city trips if you want to travel with hand luggage only. You can find a wide selection of travel bags in our online shop that meet the size and weight requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
For backpackers and adventurers, a spacious travel backpack is ideal – especially if your city trip includes extended hikes into the surrounding countryside. For smaller excursions, a daypack is perfect, keeping your hands free for photos.
If you're traveling with just a backpack, packing cubes can help you save space and stay organized. They also help prevent clothes from wrinkling and make it easier to access what you need.
Important Documents & Money
Before departure, gather all essential documents and your wallet with enough cash. Keep everything secure and safe from theft. A belt bag that you can wear close to your body is ideal for carrying your essentials like phone, keys, power bank, wallet, and camera.
It's also a good idea to print out all your important documents and store them in a waterproof and dustproof sleeve. Planning to send postcards? A list of addresses will save you time and ensure no one is forgotten.
Travel First-Aid Kit
Tailor your travel first-aid kit to your personal needs. Long journeys or full sightseeing days can be draining, so don’t forget painkillers. Depending on your destination, insect sprays and after-bite treatments may also be necessary.
Toiletries
Many toiletries such as sunscreen or toothpaste are available in travel sizes, which saves space—especially helpful for backpacking trips. You can also fill your own travel bottles (100 ml) with shampoo and other products. We also offer stylish toiletry bags (with or without hangers) in our shop.
