The company philosophy is also convincing. Secrid produces sustainably and in its own country. From wallets to card cases, all wallets have been handmade in social workshops for 15 years, where the workers benefit from particularly high standards in labor law and working environments. Secrid focuses on short lines of communication and transparency. This means that all suppliers must sign a code of conduct in which they commit to fair working conditions. All components and packaging come from the Netherlands. The only exception is the leather wallets, as the high-quality leather is sourced from Germany or Italy. Secrid is certified as a B Corp and is therefore among the companies that meet the highest social and environmental standards and pay attention to the company's impact on people, animals, and the environment. The company has also been CO2-neutral since 2022. Secrid's products offer an alternative to fast fashion, as the wallets have a lifespan of at least 10 years. True to the motto "Repair is better than replace," the company operates its own repair facilities. At the end of their service life, the material is returned to the production chain.

As proof of its authenticity, each Cardprotector is equipped with a serial number. And for those still wondering about the brand name: Secrid is made up of two words. Firstly, Secr stands for Security and Id for Identity. Translated, this means something like protected identity.
